Michael continued to sing throughout grade school in musical productions and choirs. With the help of his sister, he taught himself the guitar while still in grade school. At the age of eleven, Michael accepted Jesus as his personal savior while attending a revival meeting.
During his teenage years, Michael turned away from God's plan for his life and chose to walk his own. At the age of fifteen, he started per forming professionally. For the next several years, he toured the country performing in nightclubs and bars.
Michael was extremely successful with these bands and put all his focus and energy into becoming a recording artist. It was at this time that Michael met a keyboard player named Mark De Lorenzo. The promise of fame and fortune lured Michael away from God's plan, yet the incorruptible seed planted in his childhood had taken root and was growing.
It seemed as though Michael's dreams were coming true. He spent a large amount of his time in Nashville with his managers, songwriters and producers developing his career. It was time to move to Nashville. With a pregnant wife and 4 year old son, the Schulz's planned their move and future. After the baby was born they would head to Nashville to pursue Michael's career.

Michael's new son was born extremely sick and his life would change forever. Michael needed to make a choice between his family and his career. At that time he cried out to God for revelation and wisdom…God gave it! The next few months deepened Michael's walk with God, he drew close to the Lord for comfort and strength. During this period of reconnection with God, he knew that God wanted him to choose his family, but the next request from God was not expected. God asked Michael to lay down his music career. God revealed to him that his music had become an idol and it needed to be crushed. After a time of fasting and prayer, Michael laid down the music that had become his identity.
This was an extremely difficult time, but God was purging and purifying his heart and creating a new heart, a heart of worship. Eighteen months passed and God revealed that it was time to begin playing music again, but this time, the music was for the Lord. It was time to worship.
A few weeks after Michael received revelation to begin writing and leading worship; a friend from his past walked back into his life, that friend was Mark De Lorenzo. Michael and Mark both know now that this chance meeting was really a divine appointment. After catching up and sharing visions they realized that this was the beginning of an exciting journey; a journey of revelation, music, worship and deep intimacy with Jesus.

Together Mark and Michael have been writing and recording music, working with and training up youth groups and leading worship. Their desire to lead the world into deeper intimacy and revelation of Jesus has turned into what is now called "Evidence".
Michael believes that the time has come to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth, to lay aside denominational differences and draw close to the Lord in worship. Michael believes that we (the church) must write, record, produce and promote music that is salt and light to this lost and hurting generation. Modern worship music that is relevant to this generation. Music that will help the church become more intimate with their Savior and engages the lost to come to know Him.
